Why do NHA’s exams change?

The National Healthcareer Association (NHA) is constantly monitoring the industry to ensure that our certification exams and their associated study materials accurately represent the skills and competencies needed to be successful in today's healthcare setting. When needed, NHA will complete in-depth research called a Job Task Analysis (JTA) across each of our 8 professions to identify the tasks and content knowledge required to practice as a certified allied healthcare professional. It is best practice to complete this type of research to ensure that certification exams remain current, clear, and comprehensive.

Upon completion of this JTA, updates are made to the exam to reflect the most current tasks and knowledge needed to begin work as a certified Allied Health Professional. NHA’s certifications validate a commitment to professionalism in the healthcare field and compliments other professional certifications.
