# How to Renew an NHA ExCPT Certification

## Need to renew your Pharmacy Technician certification? Learn the process in this step-by-step guide.

Note: NHA does accept transfer credits for Continuing Education (CE). Once your credits are completed, take the following steps to renew your certification.

 

### **Step 1: Log into your NHA Account at [nhanow.com](https://www.nhanow.com)**

 

• Go to the NHA website and sign into your NHA Account using your username and password.

### **Step 2: Upload Your External Continuing Education (CE)**

 • From the left‑hand menu, select “Upload External CE.”

• Complete the required fields:   
◦ Title: Enter the name of your CE course(s)  
◦ Hours Spent: Enter 20  
◦ Supporting Documentation: Upload your CE certificates 

▪ Must include:   
▪ At least 1 hour in Pharmacy Law  
▪ At least 1 hour in Patient Safety  
▪ Please attach documentation for ALL 20 hours before selecting "Add item". You can drag and drop, or select "Browse" multiple times to attach more than one document.  
• Click “Add Item(s).”  
• Important:   
Once uploaded, your CE will appear in your account as 10 credits.

 

### **Step 3: Renew Your Certification**

• From the left‑hand menu, select “Renew Certifications.”  
• Review your certification details.  
• Click “Renew and Pay” to complete the renewal process.
